Eligibility Requirements

  1. Age Requirement

    • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
       

  2. Application & Interview

    • Submit a completed application, including a resume and brief cover statement

    • Participate in a one-on-one interview if selected following initial review
       

  3. Background Screening​

    • Have no history of violent crimes or animal abuse

    • Successfully pass a criminal background check
       

  4. Experience or Education (Preferred, Not Required))

    • A minimum of 3 years of kennel, handling, or dog-related professional experience, or

    • A 4-year degree in a related field such as animal science, psychology, biology, or a comparable discipline
       

  5. References

    • Applicants may be required to provide professional or character references upon request. References should be able to speak to the applicant’s work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and ability to work in structured, high-responsibility environments.

    • Dog Tribe Academy reserves the right to contact references as part of the admissions review process. Failure to provide requested references or submission of inaccurate information may result in disqualification from the program.
